Dr Ashok Kumar Chhetri
Dr. Chhetri is a distinguished legal scholar and senior judicial officer with a profound specialization in Contract Law and Judicial Administration. He earned his Ph.D. from Tribhuvan University, where his research “Judicial Trends in Contractual Remedies in Nepal” provides a conclusive analysis of contemporary contractual frameworks. His academic foundation is global in scope: an LL.M. in International Economic and Business Law from Kyushu University, Japan, and an LL.M. in Commercial Law from Nepal Law Campus. As a JDS Fellow and Trainer of Mediation, he actively integrates emerging principles into the judicial sector, supported by extensive international training in economic policy, anti-corruption, and intellectual property rights. An “ADR-loving” professional and former Secretarial Chief of the Mediation Council, Dr. Chhetri has authored influential works, including a Comparative Study on Mediation and the LL.M. Digest reinforcing his reputation as both an expert practitioner and a dedicated professional. From the very beginning of the law college, Dr Chhetri has been teaching Contract Law in this college.
